Hellow Readers!!

It’s been awhile. Blame Facebook and Twitter for this. I’ve been more active there. Well, work has been very busy also. This week, I clocked in 8 hours of OT. If you know me and for the record since I started working August 30 till last week. I only had OT once. Usually, I’ll be out of the office a few minutes after 5 o’clock, the most is 5.30pm.But the past week was hectic. Last Friday and Tuesday, I worked until 6.30. Last night until 9 pm and today, I worked till 7.42 pm.

To be honest, I quite enjoyed working there.

I shall update tomorrow. I have a lot to update, it’s been 6 months. =)

Up in The Air

I just watched “Up in the Air,” and I must say that I like this movie a lot. It reminds me of Jude Law’s movie, “Alfie.” I don’t want to say anything, but I like the lives the leading men in both movies have. I like single people, I admire them. Don’t get me wrong, I also admire people who have great, wonderful marriage lives.

So what do you think?

That was one of the new songs that I learned during karaoke session last night with my friends at Inul Vizta, Taman Anggrek Mall. I have to say that I really enjoyed going out with this group. Prolly because we have things in common and this one is smaller, 4-5 people the most. Since it’s small, I was forced to do things that I wouldn’t do in the past. Me singing in karaoke? It’s been one of the impossible things that could happen for the past few years. Maybe I had too many karaoke sessions when I was little haha…

On Monday, we went out to celebrate HP’s birthday. We had dinner at 5th avenue then had drinks at Dunkin Donuts. It was simple and yet enjoyable.

Good morning all! Greetings from Singapore.

Tadi malem mimpiin FT. Now I’m having a mixed feeling. It’s very strange. It feels like I’m moving back to years ago. When we were still together.

S’benernya cerita di mimpinya itu rada aneh. The plot was about me having graduation in a hotel, and then my batch was caught in a bad romance situation because of some girls. Trus karena bete, gue jalan ke swimming poolnya and tau-tau di sana ada FT & the gank. So I just sat at the pool side and watched them. I definitely recognize a few familiar faces.

Honestly, I feel kinda sad remembering this.Oh well..

Anyway, so much changes in Singapore that I was amazed yesterday. So many new buildings with unique architecture and HMV is @ 313 Somerset now.

Busy Day

I had job interview this afternoon. It’s located quite far away from my place but thanks God, it was accessible and only 30 minutes away with public transport. After that, I decided to go to Grand Indonesia. It’s been awhile since I went out alone.

As usual, I went to Gramedia bookstore. There’s 20% discount for Christian books and 10% for Holy Bible. *Duh* I just bought tons of books last months, I should’ve waited.

I spent almost 2 hours there trying to decide what to buy. I ended up buying 2 books only because I still have many books at home that I’ve yet to read.

I got home ten to six. I suddenly realized that I had appointment with my church friends. I texted them asking whether we meet at 7 pm. The reply was no. It should be 6 pm. Well, I changed my clothes and wipe my oily face with tissue. I was so glad I still had my breakfast leftover on my table. I grabbed and ate it quickly then left.

When I arrived at the church, my friend texted me saying that they were having dinner in the hall. Ho ho ho… apparently, there was an event and dinner was provided abundantly! Woo hoo…

When I finally got home, there was fried rice for me + orange juice. Since it was 8.10 pm, I asked my friend to go to Gajah Mada Plaza. I got a DVD again “The Covenant.” I’d been wanting to watch it since months ago, but always forgot whenever it was on TV.

I think that is all. Well, time to sleep now. Nite all!

Mouse!

Having a good mouse is totally useful when using a laptop. I don’t know why I didn’t realize it much earlier. It’s making my life easier and using computer is so easy for me now. No more wrist pain and it’s just great especially playing games on facebook (read: Restaurant City).

It’s 5.30 am now, I think I’m better go to sleep. Morning all!

My Sister’s Keeper

Just watched My Sister’s Keeper with my friend today. It was a very interesting movie with intriguing plot with top notch acting by exceptionally fine actors. What can I say? It was the movie adaptation of Jody Picoult’s novel with the same title (read: great story). By right, I should be satisfied with it. But I wasn’t, I’ll explain later.

To me, the plot is rather controversial. It’s like a more realistic version of The Island. However, I can definitely see it happening in our world. After all, what would a mum not do to save her child? Well, she would do everything in her power to save her child, especially from illness.

But the question is does everything mean being selfish or unethical? It’s definitely something to ponder tonight; difficult to draw a line between right and wrong here. Is it okay to have a genetically modified child so that s/he could be an ‘extra’ body for another child?

Let’s talk something simple now. I love that my all time favourite song is in the movie but it’s covered by Edwina Hayes and it’s acoustic version. I totally love it and been listening to it non-stop. I remember listening the song for the first time about 9 years ago. It was in the original soundtrack of Dawson’s Creek and sung by Chantal Kreviazuk, a Canadian singer who also sung Leaving on a Jetplane for Armageddon movie.

I didn’t like the movie because the ending is significantly different from the book. I honestly think that the ending in the book is more dramatic and, in a way, better.

Welcome! This is my latest blog as of Nov 2009 haha… Actually, I wanted to name it Dance in The Dark, but it was already taken! At the moment, I’ll try to jot down my experience in this foreign city called Jakarta.

Truthfully speaking, I feel this blog is about what happened after a monster ate my heart. I really don’t know what will happen next; will I ever have heart again? I guess you’ll have to read and follow.
